Temple Emanu El Youth Group (TEMTY)

Temple Emanu El’s youth groups offer social, educational and religious experiences for students in grades 6 to 12. Programs include youth-led services, camp experiences, retreats, tikkun olam projects, planning the Temple’s annual Purim Carnival and much more.

Grades 6 – 8: Junior Youth of Temple Emanu El (JYTEE) is an exciting way for younger students to get a taste of the fun and enjoyment of Youth Group. Every student who is a part of the Monday evening program is a member of JYTEE. JYTEE events are opportunities for our students to get together outside of Religious School, including an opportunity to attend a Regional Youth Group event each year.  In the Spring of each year 8th graders are welcomed into the Senior Youth Group experience. JYTEE Board is made up of 5 students elected each December for a one year term. To be notified by text of upcoming events, add yourself to the Remind System by texting @JYTEE to 81010.

TEMTY LOGO_BoxGrades 9 – 12: Senior Youth Group (TEMTY) is a fantastic opportunity for teens to spend time with their Temple friends away from the structure of the classroom. Every student who is a part of the Monday evening program is a member of the Senior TEEn Kolel youth group. All events are meant to be social and fun, as well as containing a Jewish component. Very often this component takes the form of community service, supporting both Jewish and non-Jewish organizations. This is a great opportunity for students to begin to develop leadership skills. The Senior Youth Group members also organize our congregation’s annual Purim Carnival as well as help create events for the Junior Youth Group and other younger students.   For more information about TEMTY programming Friend us on Facebook  (TEMTY Cleveland) or follow us on Twitter @TEMTYCleveland. To be notified by text of upcoming events, add yourself to the Remind System by texting @TEMTY to 81010.
