EARLY ENGAGEMENT

Temple Emanu El’s Early Engagement programs, intended for children from birth to age six and their parents, bring Shabbat, holiday observances and Jewish customs to the appropriate level for children. These events and programs help parents get more involved with Jewish rituals so that they can start or enhance traditions at home. Studies have shown that the early engagement of young children and their families with Jewish observance and culture increases their feeling of belonging to the Jewish community.

Shabbat Sprouts/Z’man Lazuz – Held once a month, this program explores Jewish Holidays, followed by a related activity.
