Temple Emanu El has a rich history dating back to 1947 with founding Rabbi Alan Singer Green. In the years that followed, Temple Emanu El grew and changed, bringing us to our current location in 2008. We welcome you to visit us in our state-of-the-art facility that offers a beautiful sun-filled atrium, a large sanctuary seating 280 and a more intimate chapel seating 100. Our facility also includes a school wing that houses our Preschool, Religious School and more.

I'd encourage you to check us out on a Sunday morning during the school year. Start your day with breakfast available from our "Bagel Boys". Then immerse yourself in the community as our Kindergarten through 6th graders participate in Religious School or attend one of our Adult Education courses. You are also welcome to join us for worship services any Shabbat evening or morning or for one of our special events.

Our doors are open to you and we hope that you will come get to know us. I look forward to personally welcoming you to our congregation.

Matt Ellin, President

Rabbi's Study

Rabbi Bima_edit

Prayer: We all do it!

Some say that thanks to unique wiring, human beings possess an innate sense of the transcendent, creative and potentially protective power in the universe.  For want of a better term, we may call that power Elohim - Judge, Adonai - Lord, Shaddai, - Protector, Bo’reh - Creator, or any of the dozens of other descriptive names/titles that occur in our biblical and rabbinic traditions.  We regularly use several of God’s names in one sentence or passage.  This Presence is greater than human, but still concerned about us and is, on some level, involved in our fates and fortunes.  This is what drives us to prayer.  Whether we are expressing thanks, seeking a boon, protection or just a connection, at its most rudimentary, prayer or worship, is our attempt to be in communion, in contact with, and connected to God.  Click here
