Temple Emanu El has a rich history dating back to 1947 with founding Rabbi Alan Singer Green. In the years that followed, Temple Emanu El grew and changed, bringing us to our current location in 2008. We welcome you to visit us in our state-of-the-art facility that offers a beautiful sun-filled atrium, a large sanctuary seating 280 and a more intimate chapel seating 100. Our facility also includes a school wing that houses our Preschool, Religious School and more.

I'd encourage you to check us out on a Sunday morning during the school year. Start your day with breakfast available from our "Bagel Boys". Then immerse yourself in the community as our Kindergarten through 6th graders participate in Religious School or attend one of our Adult Education courses. You are also welcome to join us for worship services any Shabbat evening or morning or for one of our special events.

Our doors are open to you and we hope that you will come get to know us. I look forward to personally welcoming you to our congregation.

Matt Ellin, President

D'var Torah - Parshat V'etchanan

Looking Forward
Vaetchanan is always read on the Shabbat immediately following the Fast of Tisha B’Av which concludes the period of mourning for the loss of our sovereignty signaled by the destruction of the First and Second Temples at the hands of the Babylonian and Roman Empires, respectively, along with several other calamities in Jewish history.  This Shabbat is also designated as Shabbat Nahamu, taken from the first words of our Haftarah “Nahamu, nahamu ami…”  “Comfort ye, comfort ye my people…” which is the first of the series of Haftorot of Consolation that liturgically link the 9th of Av’s mid-summer mourning with the High Holy Days through prophetic words of succor, reassurance and instruction.  Click here to read more.
